About
Meet Ben Davey
Mitchell resident, engineer, husband and father — and your West Perth Councillor for Mitchell Ward.
Background
An Engineer Who Likes to Build Things That Work
I work in Advanced Products at General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada in London, where I develop and build prototypes for next-generation products. I'm trained as an engineer, and I bring that mindset to council: define the problem, get the real numbers, consult the people affected, and do it right the first time.
My wife Abbey is a teacher at Mitchell District High School, where she also coaches and advises student council. We live in Mitchell with our young son. We're the family at the park, the arena, and the library — the decisions made in council chambers land directly on our kitchen table, same as yours.
I ran for council because I believe residents deserve plain answers, real numbers, and a councillor who actually replies. This website is part of that promise: every council meeting gets a plain-language summary, every priority is tracked in public, and every message gets read by me personally.
